Golden Opulence Sundae – $1,000
This dessert was created in New York City’s Serendipity 3 restaurant to commemorate its 50th anniversary. This dessert beats every ice cream as far as its taste is concerned. And it also found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for its huge price tag. It’s price made it the most expensive sundae during its launch period. Though it is so highly priced, the restaurant still manages to sell at least once per month all thanks to the wealthy patrons.
You have to give the restaurant a 48-hours notice to prepare this sundae as they need to source ingredients from different locations. The ingredients include chocolate truffles, Grand Passion caviar, and Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream dusted with edible 23-carat gold leaf. Further, this dish is topped with gilded sugar and gold flakes. Once you finish the dish off you can take home the Baccarat Harcourt crystal goblet that the sundae is served in.
