Let’s cut to the chase. No, Pete Davidson and Kate Beckinsale did not leave together after spending a good chunk of time together at a Golden Globes after-party Sunday night.
That’s according to a source that spoke with People, although some outlets reported the opposite. But the pair reportedly were focused on each other for about 45 minutes and ended up in a cuddle sometime during the evening.
OK, so that’s not exactly salacious tabloid fodder, but could it be a sign that Davidson is ready to move on from his split from singer Ariana Grande?
Davidson, 25, arrived at the Netflix party in Los Angeles with buddy Machine Gun Kelly, but the rapper quickly took leave as soon as Davidson and Beckinsale, 45, got deep into a conversation.
Kelly returned with husband and wife Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher, but People reported that Davidson and Beckinsale paid little mind to the rest of the group.
Reps for Davidson and Beckinsale didn’t immediately return People’s requests for comment, and we already gave away the ending.
Earlier in the evening, Davidson and Kelly hit the InStyle & Warner Bros. Golden Globes after party. The good friends have been hanging out since the “Saturday Night Live” comic posted an alarming Instagram message in December saying he didn’t “want to be on this earth anymore.”
It was assumed that Davidson was struggling with his October breakup with Grande, to whom he became engaged earlier in the year after only a few weeks of dating.
Davidson is doing better now, according to a source that told People that he’s enjoying the single life.
“He is very much enjoying being single as he is focusing on himself,” the source said.
Beckinsale was recently linked to comedian/actor Matt Rife, 23. She and director Len Wiseman were married from 2004-16.
