The altercation between FaZe Clan co-owner Ricky Banks and a member of staff at an Ohio bar quickly went viral after it took place on Saturday November 25th.
The YouTube star uploaded a Snapchat story on the eve of the incident, claiming that he was chucked out of the venue alongside his girlfriend, Alissa Violet, after she was assaulted and a fight broke out.
Images of Alissa’s injuries were uploaded that include a bruised eye and lip where she was allegedly attacked.
However a TV new station has uploaded a video that shows a different story, prompting an official response from Banks via video.
With a subscriber base of nearly four million people on YouTube alone, Banks carries a significant presence online. Following the incident there has been constant threats made against the establishment by a number of his hardcore fans, prompting the Ohio bar involved to make their social media accounts private.
Banks finally uploaded a video addressing the situation on Thursday November 30th. The 34 minute video goes into detail about exactly what happened on the night and responds to claims made by the Ohio bar that differ from his version of events.
He claims that lawyers and now involved in the situation and hopefully they can come to some sort of agreement, but exactly how hasn’t been specified.
One key part of the video involves Banks asking for his followers to stop harassing members of the staff at the bar, both online and in person.
“I do want to stress the point, I do not condone any form of threat, harassment. Don’t do it. You guys it’s not fucking cool, it has no place in any of this. We’re going to get to the bottom of this and we’re going to do it with some class and in a respectful way.”
