Eat more protein and less carbs
Carbohydrates are essential for energy. However, eating carbohydrates in excess causes fat build up. Unless you are trying to gain weight, you should limit your carb intake and include more proteins in your meals. The body uses more energy to digest proteins. Thus high protein diets can help in burning a portion of the fat accumulated in your belly. When restricting carbohydrate intake, focus mainly on the refined carbs such as pasta and white breads.
